The crisp air let out a long sigh as the sun appeared from the misty horizon. The cold air gradually faded as the heat warmed the earth of the meadow. Slowly animals could be seen grazing, watching out, listening in the meadow, hoping, praying for a stud to come and rescue them. Suddenly a bird shot out across the valley, squawking loudly. It was black in colour, rough looking, and fairly large. A rumble tumbled through the meadow as a grey stallion made his presence known.
The four beat plod of the beast, got louder as the stallion made his way into the open lands. The mares seemed to run away in fear as the grey brute came to a skidding halt. he snorted loudly, tossing his large dial as his matted mane cascaded down his short, broad neck. His radars twitched round the land as he went up onto two pistons, kicking at the air. The echo surrounded the nearby lands as the pistons returned to the sturdy ground. The bird swooped down from above and landed effortlessly onto the stallion's broad rump.
